Praefectus Mission Management software is a robust, web-based, user-friendly, all-in-one software architecture that is the heart of the PraefectaCELL systems. Designed to adapt commercial cellular technologies to the specific needs of the Warfighter through an intuitive user interface, Praefectus allows the operator to interact with and manage both the cellular infrastructure and mobile devices, as well as enabling the user to graphically view and manage all of the base stations and devices on the network through a real-time mapping interface.

Praefectus is designed to create a complete, accredited, robust security layer on top of any cellular core network to allow management of an entire cellular network and its devices from a single location. The Praefectus interface can be customized per customer requirement, and ensures complete horizontal compatibility with any PraefectaCELL system, allowing management of any 2G / 3G / 4G 3GPP cellular networks simultaneously.

PraefectaCELL provides the entire capabilities of a cellular network -- Voice, Data, SMS, call handover and roaming -- on a single computer for each individual cellular base station. PraefectaCELL operates as a mesh network and scales with the size of the network, dynamically synchronizing location registries and routing calls.

Praefectus supports in-network geo-location software that allows for device localization with minimal impact on network performance.

PraefectaSENSE
PraefectaSENSE is a PraefectaCELL level pre-programmed decision process that allows each node to effectively pick its uplink and downlink frequencies and absolute radio frequency channels based on its awareness of the EM profile of PraefectaCELL within pre-defined RLOS ranges. PraefectaSENSE enhances the performance of the PraefectaCELL network and requires little or no network operator intervention. The decision algorithms within Praefectus can be modified based on the operational environment and other network planning variables.
