PraefectaCELL is a ruggedized, highly mobile, and customizable IP-based cellular network capable of meeting multi-mission requirements. PraefectaCELL can support a variety of cellular technologies using the SAE architecture to include GSM, CDMA, UMTS, and LTE. PraefectaCELL supports all commercial cellular network functionality, scales as a mesh network with no single point of failure, integrates advanced geo-location capabilities, as well as a web-based user interface, Praefectus Mission Management Software for local and remote operation. The mesh networking technology that PraefectaCELL uses is a self-discovering, self-healing moving canopy of compatible communications that accompanies response teams operating within any harsh environment.
In order to combine the capability of a traditional cellular network into a form factor that is manageable in a variety of deployment scenarios, BTS has developed the PraefectaCELL family of Tactical Nodes. Each design affords the Praefectus Mission Management and Cellular Communication capability while varying SWaP requirements based on physical transport medium. We provide our customers the option of choosing which form factor design they want for the PraefectaCELL system they purchase.
